Cheyenne Plains Gas Pipeline Company is a 36-inch natural gas pipeline extending
from near the Wyoming-Colorado border to south-central Kansas. The Cheyenne Plains
Pipeline initially went into service on January 31, 2005 and serves market areas
in the Midwest with connections to several mid-continent pipelines in south-central
Kansas.
The pipeline, underwritten by long-term firm transportation contracts for the full
560 MDth/d capacity of the pipeline, was constructed to move natural gas from the
Cheyenne Hub just south of Cheyenne, Wyoming to Greensburg, Kansas, a distance of
approximately 380 miles. The initial facilities included compression and treatment
facilities at the Cheyenne Hub at the western terminus of the mainline. In the Greensburg
area, Cheyenne Plains interconnects with a number of other interstate natural gas
pipelines providing additional transportation services to Midwest and Eastern market
areas.
In response to customer requests for increased capacity, Cheyenne Plains expanded
its throughput to 730 MDth/d through the installation of additional compression
to its existing compressor station at the western end of the pipeline near the Cheyenne
Hub. This expansion was completed and placed in service on November 7, 2005.

Again in 2006, Cheyenne Plains responded to new customer transportation requirements
and added the Yuma Lateral to the pipeline in northeast Colorado. The Yuma Lateral
was constructed to support up to 50 MDth of transportation from nearby production
areas to the Cheyenne mainline. The Yuma Lateral was placed in service on December
31, 2006. Cheyenne Plains' most recent expansion was the installation of the Kim
Compressor Station on its mainline in western Kansas. The new compression facility
was completed and placed in service on August 2, 2008 and raises the Cheyenne Plains
throughput capability to 800 MDth/d.
Cheyenne Plains' facilities are ideally situated to provide competitive and efficient
transportation services to move natural gas supplies from the prolific Rocky Mountain
production areas to numerous downstream pipelines serving Midwest and Eastern market
areas.
Offering continued long-term growth options combined with efficient and reliable
transportation services, Cheyenne Plains is prepared to serve the demands for natural
gas transportation from the rapidly growing production areas in the Rocky Mountains,
including expanded production developments in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
